The problem with being the girl or guy at the top, is that you don’t have to answer to anyone. You can’t be fired and nobody is going to say “you suck at your job” when you suck at your job (although anyone can look around and usually determine that quite easily).
Having someone that you talk to that coaches you or that you are reporting back to that challenges you and keeps you on track is a good idea. Left unchecked, you can get off track by yourself.

Your advice to have someone we are accountable to is so true. I have seen so many people reach the top in their field only to fall off the rails due to not being held accountable by someone. For me, I have a couple someones, one is my wife and it keeps me on track!

I have an accountability partner. We meet regularly to help each other with goals in every part of our lives. This is in addition to the excellent manager I have at work.

Congrats Larry, Wyatt will be a lucky boy, myself too, my first grandson last month too, my Son’s Boy, already have the Z50. My Dad was the one always for advice growing up and being a school teacher who coached high school sports and Hockey was perfect for advice but lost him to Cancer when I was 25, now I get my best advice now from my kids believe it or not, my wife, my best friend and my Mother. Nice to have different view points to decide what to do sometimes.
