Creative work first

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

Do creative work first thing in the morning before you get into transactional work like emails, phone calls, and meetings.

Your mind works better when it’s fresh and there is less on your mental clipboard.

I find the best time to communicate with customers is after dinner when I’m relaxed. My emails are more professional and warm, but in the morning during the rush my emails are short and to the point. The morning is a great time to chat with co workers and get an idea of which direction you’re heading for different projects, but the evening is my time with my customers on a more personal level and it has helped my business close on more jobs.
