“The tools for learning are abundant. It’s the desire to learn that is scarce.” – Naval Ravikant
I’m on a plane, sequestered for hours. What am I doing? Reading. Listening to a great audiobook and taking abundant notes in my journal. One audiobook called Berkshire Hathaway University has some of the richest men in the world saying they read a lot and have a goal to go to bed each day smarter than when they woke up.
I look around. What are other people doing? Sleeping. Watching the TV. Nothing. Playing a game on their phones.
If we looked into 100 homes in America in the evening, what would we see people doing?
It’s not the haves and the have-nots, it’s the wills and the will-nots.
Will you?
So true! I’m now reading You Can’t Hurt Me! -David Goggins
I will and do!
I’m finishing up Decision Points/ George Bush.
I appreciate authors, too. Reading can change your life. Keep writing, Larry.
“Lead Yourself First” – I recommend it.
I have never been one to read, but after leaving SOE, I was inspired to do so. I picked up a couple books from the store and I have started reading The Highest Calling. So far, a great book!
“Conscious Coaching” by Brett Bartholomew – A book from the perspective of a strength and conditioning trainer for athletes but with the focus on how to be a better coach on an intellectual and emotional level rather than focusing only on techniques. As a Sales Manager I view the salespeople as the athletes that we’re coaching and this book has helped me take a deeper approach with some great results already and I’m only halfway through the book.
Good morning. I love to read and am grateful for authors as well! My list today:
Bible (Everyday)
The Power of Moments – Chip Heath and Dan Heath – an excellent read
