As a leader, if you use the word “I” a lot, they know you are in it for you.
If you use the word “we” a lot, they know you’re in it for them.
Which do you use more?

I always use the word “we” instead if “I”. In the rare event I use the “I” word I feel awkward. To add on to this, I never refer to “what I used to do” to my team. To me, that dates an action and leads a person to wonder why you got away from that particular action to begin with if were worth having.
