Just cutting out bread, sugary drinks and sugar altogether, plus walking, helped me lose 50 lbs. I was motivated because of a cancer diagnosis, but should have done this a long time ago.

You are sooo right! I was informed that I now suffer from diabetes in December and that was a wake up call for me. I found a nutritionist and modified my diet immediately and started losing the pounds and to date I am down 37lbs and my blood sugar in right in the middle of the normal range….. Now I understand the importance of proper eating habits….

Stop eating sugar and sugary drinks for 2 weeks. Then eat an apple… you’ll be surprised how much energy the natural sugar from fruit will give you. And you won’t get a crash later either. I dry fruit at home, but beware buying dried fruits at the store, there are alot of added sugars to make them more tasty…
