“The master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his information and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence at whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him, he’s always doing both.” – James Michener
Excellent post. I resemble that remark. Very interesting to see it laid out like this.
I really like this Master in the Art of Living today. Something to think about.
I always knew if you loved the work you do it wouldn’t be “work”. Melding your career with things you love sure makes it easy. I always enjoyed my 55 year nursing career. Thought hard at times, it was fun, rewarding, inspirational, and enjoyable- so much so that I looked forward to “going to work”.
Beautiful. Thank you and good morning!
