If leaders keep giving answers, they keep getting questions; people won’t think for themselves or feel empowered to do so. Plus, it’s no way to make your job smaller.
If leaders answer questions with questions, they will encourage their team to think for themselves, and they will get less questions and more answers.
Probably among the hardest of lessons to learn as a leader. Taking away the answers is sort of like taking a bottle away from a baby. People will make it work on their own when given the chance, that is, if it’s the right person for that particular position.
