Write down the ten coolest things about you or pivotal moments in your life.
Go ahead. Try it.
What did you learn?

These are not ranked – it’s weird to write about things I think are cool about me.
1.) I flunked out of math my senior year of high school, tried college and dropped out, worked construction and sales for 3 years, and when I went back to college I worked my face off and pulled very high A’s in every math class I could take discovering that “smart” is often just doing homework well.
2.) I was set free of lust, pride, and all kinds of garbage through the true Gospel of Jesus Christ.
3.) 20+ years of skateboarding taught me physical intelligence and creativity.
4.) Getting sucked into Amway as an 18-year-old 2000 miles from home made me $0, but gave me a lifetime habit of books, “tapes”, and functions.
5.) I was not looking for a wife (at all!), but married Shelly after only 3 months 19 years ago because I recognized her amazing character.
6.) I decided years ago that 4 o’clock is Cory O’Clock and the discipline of burpees before coffee, and study before work has been very fruitful.
7.) I went into business for a simpler life (Ha!) and discovered the joy of true contribution (probably not very unique).
8.) I learned what freedom really means through Kairos Prison Ministry
9.) My dad taught me the folly of salaried employment as a 15-year old with a gig cleaning dog kennels at 6AM and manning a pet shop until 8PM every day.
10.) Valet parking in Las Vegas taught me that all cars (even the really cool ones) are basically the same.

Good news! I learned that I enjoy thinking about others nearly as much as I enjoy thinking about myself.

I did this with my sister from Tucson AZ and My Ellie and it was unbelievable. It made the start of a day so positive and we enjoyed the day more because we appreciated each other on an entirely different viewpoint and level. Positive. Just Do It!!!!!
