Most people who start a business are in pursuit of the adventure, the freedom and the money that entrepreneurship can bring. It sounds like so much fun!
A year in they are broke or in debt, have lost their freedom completely, and the adventure has turned into a dramatic soul-bending struggle for survival.
Yup, that’s about right.
So here you stand (or wobble). What will you do?
The pages of the calendar are going by and there are only so many of them for you. There is a choice to be made. You can –
A – Keep struggling forever this way if you can sustain it mentally, physically and financially.
B – Quit and get a job.
C – Admit to yourself that you need help. Learn how to do it from someone who has done it before. Make the commitment to change. It doesn’t happen overnight, so you better be damn committed.
(In the home improvement/repair/service industry, I have spent years creating the answer – The Contractor Nation School of Entrepreneurship. It’s an online program at thesoe.com. We have a handful of people from a wide selection of other businesses in the School too and they love it. thesoe.com)
