You.
Whoops. Sorry. It’s hard to hear. But it’s true. I am my one business problem.
The things I did that weren’t quite right. The decisions I made or didn’t make. The things I did not learn that I needed to know. The biases I have. The emotions, right and wrong, that carried a decision. What I neglected to do. The people I hired, or didn’t. The industry and business I decided to be in. How I trained my people or didn’t. The expectations I set, or didn’t. The example I give, or don’t.
Good or bad, I did this.
And that means I can make it better.
First, I work on me.
Indeed!
So true. If Iām right for me, the rest of the day follows. No time for woulda, shoulda, coulda.
Dammit, Larry! Why do you always have to be up in my business?!? Ha ha! š
Joking aside, if I’ve learned anything from you over the years, it is this very principle. Usually direct, sometimes indirect, nevertheless total responsibility for everything that happens. I am a better man because of you.
