An estimated 80 million American adults are chronically sleep deprived, sleeping less than the recommended seven hours of sleep a night.
Not getting enough sleep affects our alertness and performance. You know this.
Do you get enough sleep?

I worked in sleep medicine for seven years. I can tell you 100% confidence that the vast majority of American men, women and children do not get enough quality (REM) sleep.
When is the last time you remembered a dream? You only dream when in REM, so if you can’t remember the last time you had a dream – you are not hitting REM. Google ‘sleep hygiene’ – resist the urge to check the time if your sleep is interrupted during the night, don’t nap when you get home etc….all these steps can add up to a good night’s rest.

getting less than 7 hrs also has serious health consequences also….affecting things like diabetes, alzheimer’s, aging, and compromising your bodies ability to repair itself.
