Arguing for your weaknesses

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

Sometimes we have a weakness and we go around explaining to everyone why we have it and justifying it. Of course, this only makes the weakness harder to get rid of, correct, or at least strengthen a few degrees.

Change your language. “I am getting better at_______.” “I haven’t mastered that quite yet, but I can try now.”

Don’t argue for your weaknesses, argue against them.

Thanx for that very powerful thought. This has been something I have dealt with my whole life. I will try to do better.

weaknesses???
Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.
I always think those who pass judgement are weak.

Larry,
This is absolutely perfect for me today. Making an excuse for bad habits or things I am not good at is a sign of weakness as a leader instead of working on getting better at it. I showed my sales staff the video of from the invisible yesterday. Everyone got some clearity on why I push for greatness the way I do. Thank You Larry!
