Capture the ideas

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

People who wrote in journals – Einstein, DaVinci, Madame Curie.

You do not understand something if you can’t express it and write it down on paper.  It has no form your mind can go to work on.

Be a collector of good ideas. Writing them with a pen is better than typing on a keyboard.  We learn better when a thought has to come from our brain, through our arm and hand and onto paper.  We have to get clear on the idea for that to happen.

A yellow pad is not going to cut it.  Treat your collection as valuable, because it is.  Get a hardcover journal and collect the good ideas and good words.  (My book The Highest Calling comes with a beautiful hardcover journal.)

Using just that journal now. I never wrote things down in a journal. Amazing to me how it helps prioritize ideas I need to spend time with.

A reminder is great
Because it alleviates the pain
Forming in my left hip
As I walk around the lake.

I think about the fruits and veggies
And the mindset I need
To succeed with the long shot.

I am a working girl again
Who landed a second job
Ready to battle until the last breath.
