It went wrong? It failed? You blew it? Someone else blew it? Ok, fine. You’re closer to success!
You can’t succeed without failing first. When you mess it up, the world gives you feedback so you may make the changes necessary to win. If you ignore the feedback, or give up, you lose.
So when it goes wrong, learn fast, adjust, and try again more intelligently.
It took a NO, a pretty hard one at that to turn my approach around. I decided not to let that NO define me. I let it make me stronger and I found a different way to win a project. Got to let your ego take a back seat and see the bigger picture to get there.
It looks like the Universe doesn’t like me working at the company I started two weeks ago because today I was betrayed by the second car. First it was the pickup truck asking for a new alternator. A couple of days later the truck decided that wants a new drive shaft as well. The husband who came home just in time decided to fix my second car instead. A blue stick shift compact car. I drove it for one week only to learn today that I made the wrong turn and I went up a very steep hill which resulted in fumes seeping from underneat the hood by the time I got home. I did not even open the hood to assess the damage because by now I am fairly capable of reading the signs. I am at crossroads again where I need to make a choice. I know who I want to be around and I know what I want but the same choice has to be made and come from somewhere else.
The day debt was mentioned and presented with a money bucket a contractor walked in to my new employer and offered me a part time job. I am supposed to start keeping his books and accounts in order a couple hours a week starting this coming monday. Both jobs are in East Hartford. I can not work if I do not have a car in good working condition. I could go out and buy a newer car and sell the other two once they are fixed up. Many choices and many coincidences. Many work related threads. The woods, the nature center, the church, the house are all connected. I want to think about walking in the country side tomorrow instead of worrying about car issues. It is a much more pleasant and more comforting thought.
