When something bad happens to us, often many of us will tell others all about it – over and over again until everyone knows. But when we tell the story we are just re-stimulating the negative emotions and the sentiment “this should not be happening to me.”
Sure, sometimes we need to talk things out with someone we trust, but mostly we should let the negativity go and stop bringing it back up for ourselves.
Accept it. Learn from it. Let it go.
The bad things that have happened to us in the past should have no control over us now!
