Urgency

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

Building your business right, so that it produces the result you want it to, is like building a house. You don’t stop when it’s half done and start living in it. You must finish it well, then you can stop building it.

Build your business. Construct it. Observe the results it achieves with all stakeholders and build it some more. Don’t stop when it’s halfway complete.

Have a sense of urgency, which is different than being in a hurry. Act each day to make it a better functioning machine.

wow! I stopped building my business on every job i did in construction. I thought i was “in business ” but, i was only buying jobs and working on them instead of working on my business. Thank you Larry for opening my eyes. And thanks to all at SOE !

As an artist, I’m surprised when people comment you always seem to be busy, always working. As if that happens by luck. Being an artist is a business just like any other. I have to work just as hard, no correct that, harder to keep my business strong so that I can enjoy the work of being an artist. I know what urgency means.
