“It’s hard” we say. We struggle with decisions and fear change.
But most of what makes it difficult is in our minds. It’s hard to make that decision because we are afraid of making a mistake. It’s hard to get that project done because we built a steep mountain out of it in our minds.
Most often, it’s not the doing that is difficult. It’s fighting our own preconceived notions about how hard things are, what could happen, and conflicting priorities that we created.
Take your foot off your own brake. Let go of the fight. Make a decision, commit, and go!
Take the first step and put things in motion. Once you start you will find the strength to continue and complete. I still have to remind myself of this sometimes but if I will put the task down as a highly important goal for the day it helps me get it done.
Amen. I have met the enemy, and it is me.
So true, great advice! Thanks Larry!
This is something I just needed to read. Its a daily battle for me. Thanks Great Post!
