Sands of the hourglass

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

Last month I was 24. Now I am 52. Soon, I will not be 52. I will be 53. 52 will be gone for me – never to return. Like 51 is now – gone.

Soon I will be 60, and my 50s will be gone. The next day, I will be 70.

Life is passing you by. This is your time. Nobody gets out of here alive.

What are you waiting for?

Pete

Larry is spot on. Tomorrow comes sooner than you think. Take it from me.

Well said Larry. We met at the Hunter Jumper show in Wellington 3 weeks ago. I’m 71 and its going too quickly.

Come to Jordan for a little run in Wadi Rum (wadirumultra.com).

Hope to meet you again and good luck with your adventures.

I don’t think “life is passing me by”. I think a better terminology is that “life is passing by”. I am almost 77 and have tried to enjoy each and every day. Yes, the clock is ticking, but each day is filled with wonderful friends, things to do, plants to grow, and causes to help. Each night I focus on gratitude for all that I have, and I look forward to what tomorrow may bring. I look back at my career with great satisfaction and pleasure. Hope all you “youngsters” can do the same. Aunt Donna

Ain’t it so. I just turned 38. 12 years and I’m 50! I think about it every day. I think about where I am and where I want to be. We always only have today. I was once this or I did that or I used to be great at… doesn’t matter anymore. Just today. What I do today matters. I give it all I got, make the best out of every situation and hope that it blesses me for tomorrow. I enjoy the time with my wife and two daughters that are now 6 & 9 and don’t take life for granted. The clock is ticking and soon before I know it, I will meet my maker. Till then, I will work my fricken face off and make a difference in this small world!
