Bad Hope and Good Hope

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

Bad hope is hoping for things to come true that won’t; deluding ourselves with thoughts of things that can’t possibly happen.

Good hope is when we can see an achievable future and take action toward it.

They did a test of swimming rats. They gave one group hope that they’d be saved – and they swam 200 times longer than the ones who had no hope.

What good hope do you have?

Great example Larry. Your thoughts become your reality. Even with rats apparently. LOL We must remember to always be mindful of our thoughts. Thanks for sharing.

What good hope do I have? My children.

I read a similar study where soldiers were trained on how to think to keep their hope alive in case if they get captured. The ones who did not set a date to their escape or liberation but stayed positive about the fact that it will eventually happen stayed alive much longer than the ones who gave up when the set dates went by without the manifestation of the hoped results.

I hope that people will keep encouraging each other for as long as possible. I am grateful for being here and for making it to this point in life in one piece. I am also grateful for compassionate talented individuals who inspire me with their passion and determination to make the most of every single moment while being true to their inner core. Thank you.
