Long-term Enthusiasm

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

If a leader loses his enthusiasm or interest in goals that take a long time to achieve, that will ensure these goals do not come true.

How can we keep our juices flowing for an old goal? Do it differently. Learn new things, and visit others who are doing what you want to do. Pump your team up and let them, in turn, pump you up. Make it fresh, and reinvent things you already set up but that could be better. Set personal goals for yourself and go to work on them. Let others help you and cheer them on.

Keep your enthusiasm up after the novelty of a new mission wears off. Start and finish strong.

Hi! Does anyone else report issues with printing the think daily notes in their new format? It gets chopped off on the right side and does not appear to be a setting with a certain printer here. Although I am not ruling out user error. Just curious….thanks! :-)Mary

That’s so true. It’s the “old goals” that tend to get forgotten when new lustrous goals come to mind. However, it’s often impossible to reach a new goal without learning from old goals.

Hi Mary,

You could use a screen capture to print the post. Techsmith offers a free screen capture software, Jing. Or you could always use print screen on your keyboard and then crop the image in Microsoft Word before you post it.

I hope you are able to print what you want!
