What drains you?

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

If you are “fighting” an issue everyday in your business, and the emotional energy required is draining you – just stop.  Take a step back, zoom out a bit, and observe.

Why are you fighting this battle?  Is it that you are afraid to fix it when you know you can?  Is it that you are protecting your ego so you don’t get hurt?  Is it that you are stubborn and won’t redefine what your business is and to whom?  Is it that you won’t get the right help?  Is it that you know it’s bad, but if you try to fix it you FEAR it will get worse?

Conflict cannot continue without your participation.

I assure you I am very activly partisipating.

“Conflict cannot continue without your participation” There’s my nugget for the day.

This message is really about self-awareness. It can be so easy to get caught up in old patterns of behavior and the wounds of past experience. Stepping back and not reacting, while I’m not perfect at it, is definitely a valuable practice.

Andrea

Stepping back and not reacting is a misstake because you supress your feelings, and everyone needs to express themselves. The right thing to do is to use the right form of expression in the right time and manner in order to channel your feelings and acquire optimal results even if they seem distructive at first.
Also, it is important not to terminate the person who helped you learn the lesson. Pain is a force which if not channeled could be destructive, so is love.
