Keep it simple

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

While you are dealing with lots of subjects, issues and moving parts as the leader of your enterprise, don’t do that to your people. Keep your goals and instructions to them as simple as possible. Give them a singular focus in their department or job, and they will have the best chance of doing a great job at it.

Do you overload some of your people, or do you make it easy for them to excel by keeping their goals simple?

Excellent point I need to remember myself. Thanks!

I have read and studied a book titled “Extereme Ownership” How US Navy Seals Lead and Win by Jocko Willink and Leif Babin. They speak directly about how even in the most intense mission the key to its success is its simplicity. Leading up the chain of command and leading out to the front line everything must be broke down into the most simple form of direction. Thank you Larry for reminding me once again of this.
