Young people don’t know what can’t be done. They don’t know people have been working on unsolvable problems for years. They don’t know anything about the old systems and are not emotionally attached to them. They just don’t know anything. They don’t know what can’t be done.
So Albert Einstein invented the special theory of relativity at age 26. Jonas Salk invented the polio vaccine at age 30. Isaac Newton had his breakthrough at age 23, and Marie Curie discovered radioactivity at age 30. Galileo published big breakthroughs starting at age 22. The Apollo rocket engineers were all in their 20’s.
Experienced people can solve problems using their knowledge and wisdom. But it’s also helpful to have some youngsters on the team – and let them loose on problems, and opportunities.
Is your team diversified by age?
Ha- “You don’t know what you don’t know” and sometimes that a good thing! Powerful couple of days! Thank you Larry and the ” Contractors Nation” team 🙂
Hi Larry. The other way to do it is to just keep yourself young. Cheers.
