When something really bad happens, we feel devastated. We can start to ask “Why did this happen to me?”, and live the tragedy over and over in our mind, and make it mean something to us.
I believe that everything happens for a reason, even if you don’t know what that reason is at the time. Moving past the bad luck, an accident, or misfortune, we can chose to become aware of the reason it happened to us, or not.
Consider this quote from Dorothy Parker – “And if my heart be scarred and burned, the safer, I, for all I learned.”
Was it bad luck? Or was it something that had to happen for us to grow?
I also beleive things happen for a reason . Someone once told me not to ask Why is this happening , instead ask What am I to learn from this?
Have a good day!
Amen! Through adversity and misfortune we are given the opportunity to grow into our own greatness– physically, intellectually and spiritually. The choice to seize the opportunity is ours.
Wow!
The mantra of my life! Trouble is a part of life. JESUS speaks on this subject as if it is a promise.
John 16:33
I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble, but take heart! I have overcome the world.
I love this verse because I am not caught of guard by these difficultimate events. I think is spurs me on to learn & grow through them.regardless of the outcome.
Ha yes … I confidently say that all THINGS work to my good and there are no…IF … ANDS… or BUTS about it….
