A sale is made in every exchange of ideas. Either someone is selling you that it’s a good idea, or you are selling them on the idea it’s not. Either they are convincing you things are bad, or you are convincing them they are good. Either they are convincing you to go to this restaurant, or you are convincing them to go somewhere else.
How persuasive are you? Do you get your way more or less often?

Seriously people have a problem and I solve that problem. Being a warrior, never giving up, fight to death to serve the customer, and then they pay me.
