We all need the rule of law and its enforcement in our community to avoid being robbed (or worse) by men who feel they can get ahead by using their darker natures. But we don’t need a ruling body with excessive power controlling too much of our peaceful activities.
It’s a balance that our government was originally designed for, and in large measure it works when not distorted or ignored.
Let us pay attention to this balance.

How ironic is it that, Greece, the cradle of civilization, is the stage to play out Margaret Thatcher’s admonition that “The only problem with socialism is that someday you run out of other people’s money”.
Hopefully we can learn from their failed social experiment.
