Some businesspeople wonder -“If I’m reasonably or somewhat successful in business A, should I start business B, and then business C – I’ll be two or three times as successful.”
But it hardly ever works that way. Unless you have mastered business A, or have decided that you will get out of business A, starting business B is usually not a good idea. If you are like many business owners I see, they have twice the problems and less or no profit by being mediocre at two or three things instead of master of one.
Are you master of at least one?
Very true Larry. Wish you gave me that advice 10 years ago. I opened an office in NY and was successful for a number of years. Then opened an office in Tampa and lost my shirt. (And lost NY). Now when someone tells me you should start selling “X”, my reply is, “When Ray Croc (McDonalds) starts selling hot dogs”! You can make much more money concentrating on the home front.
Thanks and keep the great advice coming.

That’ a great comment Larry. i myself look at other types of business and sometimes think “yea that one looks easy” but a quick reality check and you know that where you are is know where near where you can be with the business you have. If in doubt look around at similar companies offering similar services and if you can honestly say to yourself, yep i’m as successful as i can be then go for it but i will bet that the chance of that is slim to none.
Thanks Larry
