If a man has a skill that results in (job creation, value delivered to customers, buildings being built, taxes being paid) his becoming a millionnaire, should he stop doing it? Or should he continue bringing that value to that marketplace? If he becomes a billionnaire, is he greedy?
I love the way you think Larry. Keep up the good work.
The utopia of greed eh?
Is he greedy? I think not! He is a man giving back to his community and benefiting others lives in the process. He would be a humanitarian. What a wonderful characteristic to have!
I’m sorry you even have to ask the question, Larry,
However, living in our current non-thinking, non-reasoning, always-blaming-others culture, it is always asked anyway.
I seem to remember a Forbes article some time back on the top 400 richest individuals in the world, how many lived in the US, etc. It seems that there was a line in the article that declared that if those billionaires and their organizations all disappeared tomorrow, it would spark a world-wide depression (or some such copy). I certainly believe it.
And just imagine what would happen if we had a flat or fair tax implemented in the US–we would then become the tax haven for all others!
Of course he is not greedy….he is capable.
If he becomes a Billionaire is he greedy? (or she)
No…but there will always be people that will think and say otherwise, these are the “critics”. They are always present and ready to “spin” passion & drive such as this into something negative.
“He’s not doing this to create jobs or pay taxes, he’s …”
However, when was the last time that you saw a statue erected for a critic?
This is an interesting topic, that I just had with a high school friend. She feels that most of the top 1% should give their money to the needy, until they are not in the top 1% any longer. She also feels that our country as we know it will become a third world county if we don’t make the income levels closer from the top 1% to the middle class. I feel if I or anyone else, from the middle class, can work their butt off, live frugal and learn from their mistakes along the way and become one of the top 1%, anybody can do it if they really want to. With that said stay the course become a Billionaire, because the better you do the more you are improving the lives of others along the way and are encouraging other to follow you as well.
Great Post Larry I think the question is is it greed that he does his skill so well that he can become a billionaire and in doing so gives employment to lots of people and pays an incredible amount to the welfare of others God Bless him/her We need people like that Have a great day
Money it merely a tool. When you put that tool to work you are allowing it to be used to it’s potential. How you put it to work may color you as greedy by some, smart by others.
What happens when all the producers, the job creators, the builders, the TAX PAYERS drop out and stop producing, creating, building, and paying taxes because they can no longer continue in an environment of oppression, regulation, narrow mindedness, lack of reason, and outright insult? They are the engine of the world…what happens when they can no longer run or just decide to stop?
