Thinking about the fact that I will not live forever helps me live a more adventurous and rewarding life now.
As Steve Jobs said: “Remembering that you are going to die, releases you from the idea that you have something to lose”.
How do you think about it?
This really hits home. There is a delicate balance between work, play, travel and spending time with friends and family.
It’s much more than just being thankful and grateful for our life in general, it’s the enjoying the satisfaction that comes from those special moments and the grand future-memories that can be shared as a result.
Realizing you are going to die should cause you to make certain of your future after you die. There is only one who rose from the dead, with documented proof from both critics and followers. Since you are going to spend much more time dead than alive, it pays better dividends to pay attention to the one who rose from the dead now. See the writings of Lee Strobel, The Case for Faith, etc. for information.
