Earning money or a thing provides a sense of dignity, unlike being given money or a thing because you need it.
How do you feel about this?

I agree. Now how do we teach people that are second and third generation welfare abusers self worth?

Earning money means someone (the IRS) must take some of it. That makes one resentful.
Being given money (the welfare state), makes one thankful.
Who do you think will be more grateful to the government?

I simply loved clicking through the link to your interview Larry, it’s all about being clear and establishing the gap! Very humble advice; do the research, establish your goals and and read voraciously (or listen to audio books). Thanks!
Regarding human dignity, I believe that individuals will respond to the stimulus given – that is why we need mentoring programs, not government programs. Why volunteering is good for business owners – each one, reach one.
