That’s what we have to learn. How does our mind work? How do we produce feelings of happiness and fulfillment and satisfaction? When we feel things go wrong, how do we correct it inside us?
Learning how to operate what we are – there doesn’t seem to be much more important than that.
Great point Larry. Where can we find a book of Solutions for this? Considering this has been the perennial occupation of mankind there is a lot of source material. This is the science of the soul some call “religion”.
Giving up the most important wishes or desires liberates you and creates freedom. Striving for doing a good job, set goals or dreams is healthy but accepting imperfections and refusing the need to have it all creates a sense of well being. I only have this moment so I am going to enjoy it and make the best of it without thinking about what is expected of me. I will be and that is enough.
