If we think like the crowd then, by definition, we aren’t creative. Only if we are independent thinkers can we break from the pack and come up with creative ideas.

The answer to this question is another paradox because in a way we follow what we learn through reading even if we tell ourselves that we are thinking. Our mind screns and retains information and it applays it when it is needed. A better question would be are we copying others or being authentic?
