If it were easy, everyone would do it. And if everyone did it, there would be no glory and no rewards if you made it. And if there were no glory or rewards, nobody would do it.
So by definition, the reason you do it is because it’s hard.
Be better. Don’t give up.

Resistance would have been to run away or deny the change. Facing the challenge and accepting the mental, physical and pshychological beating that comes with submitting yourself to endure and go through the endurance test of digging is not resisting. Until you feel exactly what that other person felt you will never completely understand. Life is good as long as you have enough time to process.
There are stages that are more challenging than others but we all try to make the best of it.
Here is my confession. In 2016 I intentionally skipped reading the hard parts about your baja experience because reading about your emotions for me it was the equal to living them. So I did what I had to do to keep myself centered, I skipped. This year I am pushing myself and not enough that I read every single post and made my best to encourage I also went back and read every single post on is blog
Along with the extra curricular reading which was another challenge on its own because by rereading and reliving the story multiple times I always made new connections that lead to a built up of emotions and extra sensitivity. Imagine watching someone being turtured or being beaten over and over again. Saying that I dont care and it does not affect me is a lie.
I could remove myself and stop the reading and focus on staying centered without allowing to changes initiated by the readings but I choose to hung on and keep my promise of support.
Did you ever watched the movie called The Passion of the Christ? Directed by Mel Gibson. The movie came out the same year I moved to America, 2004.
Acknowledging my feelings does not equal with being a pessimist of negative about them. I allow myself to go through the motions needed to release the unwanted and useless bunch. I know many people who served in the millitary and have a rough time releasing the built up damaging memories and feelings.
Meditation, yoga, massage, channeling, writing and talking always help.
When you are on the giving end is always different than when you are on the receiving end.
It is a fact and not a self magnifing statement.
I choose my life and it is beautiful when I remember to turn on the lights in the dark or when I find my way stumbling through the dark to the light switch on the wall.
If you do muster up the courage and strength to watch the movie, be warned it is rough to absorb and when you do try to put yourself in three different characters situation. The guy (Christ) who got t6he beating and accepted it because he loved people and wanted what was best for the. The mother (Mary) who gave up her only son , a part of her flesh she loved more than herself and watched him being turtured
And beaten by people who did not understand what he was all about. The father (God) who loved people and allowed his son to follow his heart and sacrifice himself for the greater good and love of humanity.
You will not understand the magnitude of the love and sacrifice until you live it. And to be honest, I do not thi,k Christ did it to have his name entered in the history books. He was true to his heart.
He volunteered to endure the brutality of of the same people he was trying to help by healing them, teaching and guiding them to love their lives and each other. And after they beat him and he did not resist, they made him carry his own cross and let him die on it out of what? Love?
And poor Mary, who loved her son watched the whole thing. Out of what? LOVE
Christ was not trying to be better or more powerful than the rules and priests by living his own truth and going against the crowd.
He did not have a “God Complex”.
Neither did Mary.
People did not intentionally try to kill Christ. All the wanted to do is mold him and make him give up his believes and himself and admit that he was wrong and they were rigth. So when he didnt budge they started the punishment first by a mild beating and when that didnt work they turned it up a notch and administered a more severe beating and the story goes on on on until he cried out diiing
On the cross that he was encouraged to carry on and not to give up the walk
Everyone was just doing their job with a purpose that was given to them from the upper weise men.
How many soldiers die daily in a simmilar fashion fighting for and protecting the innocent to create harmony guided by the weise council from up above.
So now I felt hatred and anger and I am doing my best to channel it and not blame or punish anyone for something I imagined and lived in my head.
Running away in order to protect and not hurt the people we love with hitting them on the head with the brutal thruth was not a workable option this time. Love kills and life is not a game.
Be better. Don’t give up. Tomorrow is another day when you can make a difference.
