The idea that businesspeople are getting rich by unfairly exploiting the masses is false. It’s those masses that would have no products to voluntarily buy, and no where to voluntarily work to earn money to buy them without businesses. Entrepreneurs and businesses large and small serve a critical and noble purpose in society.
Besides in a free market like ours, anyone can be a businessperson.
The fact is – we all need each other.

I’ve read her two big books and they had a big influence on my thinking. You know, Larry, entrepreneurship requires courage, and people with courage (and conviction) are somewhat rare. Our education system certainly doesn’t promote risk taking (unless it is selling drugs). It promotes victimhood, excuses, placing blame, self-aggrandizement and other unflattering attributes.
Finding more Howard Roarks is getting increasingly difficult.
