You gotta live. You gotta work. You have to make these two worlds coexist in harmony with the 24 hours in a day you are given.
If there is not enough time to get your work done (in 8-10 hours a day, 5 days a week), you must adjust what you are doing, and how you do it at work, not cut so much into home and sleep time to cause imbalance.
What good is it to be successful at work if you aren’t successful at home?
I could take this a little farther and relate it to my physical goals. I want to compete in a full Ironman distance race. It would require 12-16 hours a week of training for about 6-8 months. I have my wife, daughter (9) youngest son (15) & my oldest son Graduates this year from high school. Some things have to be put on hold and scheduled within your life at a latter date. I still train but 1/2 distance ironman events only require 6-8 hours a week of consistent training for 6-8 months. I have to accommodate my training on both my personal and business schedule. Each of my schedules require balance. If I sacrifice any of these areas long term for another, all are effected.
